Eskrigg 23rd April

We went to Eskrigg reserve at Lockerbie to help Jim Rae empty his moth traps.
Despite being rather chilly overnight Jim had still managed to trap about 150 moths in his 2 traps, one on the pond fringe  and one in the pinewood. Of the 13 different species Common Quaker and Hebrew Character were the most abundant.

First blog

We are hoping to add details of wildlife seen around Eastriggs, Dumfries & Galloway.
Some details will come from members after monthly meetings. Others will come from visits to local locations where we go to spot anything wildlife related out in the wilds of Dumfries and Galloway.
