Places to Visit: Talkin Tarn

Talkin Tarn is just south of Brampton, about 24 miles from Eastriggs. It is signposted from the centre of Brampton.

There is a café and other facilities, however, there is a charge for parking.

















The paths are good with an option of rough diversions











On the day we went there was a green bloom on parts of the Tarn.
The wildlife we encountered:-
Blackbird
Blue tit
Buzzard
Crow
Great tit
House Martin
Jackdaw
Mallard
Moorhen
Mute swan
Pied Wagtail
Robin
Rook
Sand Martin
Starling
Swallow
Swift
Tufted Duck
Butterflies:
Green Veined White
Orange tip
 

Flowering were:
Gorse
Wood anemone
Marsh Marigold
Speedwell
Wood sorrel
Stitchwort
Celandine
Bluebell
Cowslip
