Day 20 - 30 Days Wild project

Rain in the morning but the sky brightened in the afternoon. The main A75 is closed near Annan with traffic diverted and so we didn't want to go too far.

We headed for Powfoot to have a treasure hunt. In other words rather than birds or plants we were looking for anything of interest washed up on the shore - although we were distracted by other things as well !!

Whilst walking along the shore we saw a lot of bricks from buildings which have been demolished by strong high tides. I feel a new photographic challenge coming on - - to see what names/locations are embossed on the bricks.

Some of the more natural finds

And then we noticed some of the other wildlife.

Then we spotted some birdlife - a Ringed Plover, hundreds of Oyster Catchers and a Kestrel. The Kestrel was mobbed by the Oyster Catchers when too close to the flock but left alone if hovering nearer us !!

The Oystercatchers were minding their own business until a man with pushbike got slowly closer and I managed to get this on the video setting.
